We provide free calculators and educational content related to buying, refinancing, renting, and investing in real estate, and we help connect interested users with real estate and mortgage professionals.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information when you use our Site, submit a lead form, or interact with our communications. It applies to U.S. visitors. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

Information we collect

Identifiers & contact: name, email, phone; optional city/state.
Lead details: budget, down payment, preferences, notes you provide.
Usage data: pages viewed, device/browser, IP address, approximate location, referral source, and actions (e.g., calculator usage) via cookies and analytics.
Communications: your messages and survey responses.
We do not require sensitive personal information (e.g., SSN, government IDs, income docs) for the calculators.

How we use information

Provide, improve, and personalize the Site and calculators
Respond to inquiries and connect you with participating real estate agents and/or loan officers (collectively, “Professionals”), if you request contact
Send service messages, reminders, and surveys you trigger (e.g., 2‑day, 2‑week, post‑close)
Prevent fraud and secure the Site; comply with law
Analytics, measurement, and interest‑based advertising (where permitted)

Sharing & disclosures

With Professionals when you ask to be contacted or submit the lead form (one or more Professionals may be assigned).
With vendors (hosting, email, analytics, security, form processing) under contract.
If required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
We do not sell personal information for money. We may “share” identifiers and device data with advertising/analytics partners for cross‑context behavioral advertising as defined in certain state laws (see “Your state privacy rights”).

Cookies & analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies for core functionality, analytics, and (where enabled) interest‑based advertising. You can control cookies in your browser; disabling some cookies may impact features.

Your choices

You can submit forms without creating an account.
You can opt out of marketing emails via the unsubscribe link.
To limit interest‑based ads, use your device settings and the NAI/DAA opt‑outs.

Data retention
We keep lead records and related events typically for up to 3 years (or longer if required by law or for dispute resolution), and usage logs for shorter periods.

Security
We use commercially reasonable safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Children
The Site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Your state privacy rights (CA, CO, CT, VA, UT & others)
Depending on your state, you may have rights to access, delete, correct, opt‑out of sale/share/targeted advertising, and appeal a decision.
